Admission Information

100 LEVEL ADMISSION
Candidates applying to the Department must have 5 O’level Credits which must include credit in English Language and any other four credits in Arts and/or Social Sciences. Candidates who possess this minimum entry qualification shall, on the attainment of the appropriate cut-off pass mark in the University and Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and other prescribed university screening may be admitted to the 100 level of the B.A. Degree programme in Theatre and Performing Arts.


200 LEVEL ADMISSION
Candidates applying to the Department for admission into the 200 level for this degree must have 5 credits at O’level including English Literature and any of the following: a minimum of two ‘A’ Level passes in relevant Arts subjects in the GCE examination or its equivalent, a National Diploma from a recognized university with pass at Distinction or Credit levels in Drama, Theatre/Film or Performing Arts, Journalism, Mass Communication, Creative Arts, Music and Dance, NCE in Drama, Theatre, Film, Performing Arts, and Creative Arts. In special circumstances, considerations may be given to those with experience and patent in the field, who may meet some of the above requirements.

POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA ADMISSION
Candidates applying for Postgraduate Diploma in Theatre and Performing Arts must have a degree or its equivalent in any field of study.
